Move from complete beginner to a strong B2 foundation through manageable stages. Each sublevel provides a clear milestone before the next opens.
French is more than another language. For eligible candidates, strong French can create additional ways to pursue Canadian permanent residence, work opportunities, education and long-term career growth.
Strong French can add 25 or 50 CRS points for eligible Express Entry candidates. NCLC 7 in all four abilities is also the language threshold for the French-language proficiency category, alongside the other Express Entry requirements.
Francophone Mobility may allow an eligible worker with a qualifying job offer outside Quebec to obtain an employer-specific work permit without an LMIA. French speaking and listening at NCLC 5 or higher is among the requirements.
The Francophone Community Immigration Pilot offers a permanent-residence route for eligible skilled workers with a qualifying job offer in a participating community. Its minimum French threshold is NCLC 5 in all four abilities.
French can broaden access to French-language and bilingual programmes and may help learners explore scholarships or institutional funding for which they independently qualify. Admission and funding rules vary by institution and programme.
Bilingual communication can expand professional and mobility options in Canada and internationally, even when immigration is not the learner’s immediate goal.

The full A1–B2 pathway is available during enrolment, with progressive access to all 12 sublevels.

A live weekend timetable for learners balancing work, school or family. The same structured levels and support, completed over a longer calendar period.
Complete beginners start at A1. Learners with previous French take the placement test before joining an available stream.
Complete the eligible full A1–B2 pathway and meet the published conditions. If you do not achieve the qualifying result on your first eligible exam attempt, we reimburse 50% of the exam fee.
