How it works

From your first enquiry to your exam

We combine the regular contact French requires with the flexibility working adults need—from choosing a starting point to preparing for TEF Canada or TCF Canada.
The journey

Four steps between today and your exam date

01

Find your starting point

Complete beginners start at A1.1. Everyone else takes a short online placement test first.

02

Choose your class option

Select an intensive weekday or flexible weekend schedule, then choose the stream that fits your week.

03

Learn through live classes

Attend live sessions on your chosen schedule, with up to five live classes each week on the intensive pathway, plus guided practice and feedback.

04

Prepare and take the exam when ready

Enter Exam Mode at B2, with TEF Canada and TCF Canada preparation, supervised mock exams and practice under timed conditions.

Your portal

Everything in one place

Once you are enrolled, your portal holds the whole of your learning life with the school.

Your next class

The date, time and join link for your next live session, always at the top.

Your schedule

A calendar of your stream's classes so you can plan your week around them.

Assignments and quizzes

Upload written work, documents and audio, then see your grades and feedback.

Your attendance and participation

Your own attendance percentage and participation scores, recorded after every class.

Class recordings

Recordings of your own stream's sessions. Learn from anywhere and revisit recordings from your enrolled stream for up to 90 days. Recordings support continuity but do not replace live-attendance requirements.

Announcements and support

Messages from your coordinator, and a simple form when you need help with access, payment or an assignment.

Guided practice, assignments, movie weekends and fortnightly book-club meetings increase your contact with French throughout the week—not only during class.

Progression

Progress with coordinator support

After each sublevel and the required assessment, the coordinator
reviews completion and assigns the learner to an available stream for the next sublevel. Learners who purchased a longer pathway do not repurchase the sublevels already included.

Complete your sublevel

Attend your classes, submit your work and sit the end-of-level assessment.

Your coordinator reviews

The coordinator reviews your completion and confirms your next sublevel.

Your next level opens

You are placed in an available stream and your new materials appear in your portal.

Learning together

How progress actually happens

Learn alongside adults with similar goals who practise together, exchange experiences and motivate one another.

Protect your class time

A regular weekly rhythm is what carries the pathway forward, so classes are scheduled at a consistent time.

Speak in every class

Thirty minutes of guided discussion sits inside every class, so speaking is built into the routine rather than left to chance.

Practice between classes

Assignments, quizzes and guided cultural activities keep the language moving between sessions.

Coordinator support

Your coordinator follows your attendance and progress, and is there when your circumstances change.
